Sit at the gate
to catch the tears,
the sounds
and sights
from a place
out of time,
a place
where rivers flow
and flowers bloom
in and out of season
Sit at the gate
to raise your voice
to ask
to seek
to knock
without ceasing
to hear
and be heard
to be loved
even as you stand for love
mediating
from this in-between-space
where realities converge
in you,
the gatekeeper
of prayer.
