The painting is about waiting for change with expectation and openness, of beholding Beauty and rejoicing as you wait. The rose coloured fantasy-like skies coupled with the distant mountains of a land yet unknown, compliment the deep blue hues which signify the hope that is available for those who wait. stop. listen, and receive perfect Love from the Artist of all things.
While waiting can be a night filled with pain, it also promises a bright morrow in which the Father causes every tear to count.
In a world where everything is about getting things done fast, this painting reminds me that there is a different pace to life, if I so choose to receive it.
Maybe for our hyper-busy and hyper-driven lives, what we really need is not another goal, but the ability to enjoy, and be present to the moment right before us?
