- I am so grateful for the joy of possibility, which is slowly awakening in me. When I think of possibility, how can I not think of the seasons past of impossibility, the seasons of restriction? Indeed, it was during those times of limitation that this ability to enjoy the little things in life, the practice of gratitude, the discipline of being content, the establishment of truth - that I am loved and therefore I am enough - were learned over and over and over again.
- I am grateful that the actualization of who I am in the Love of the Father has nothing to do with me trying to fix myself or trying harder, or due to any self-improvement. Indeed when I rest in the Love of the Father, all things are added unto me, even the realization of who I really am and what I am to do on earth in the little time that is afforded me.
- I am grateful for the ability to dream and the courage to turn impossibilities into possibilities and possibilities into reality.
- I am so very thankful for those who supported me at CNIB and at the U of Winnipeg. You make a difference in my life. Without you, I could not have come this far.

Lover's Dream
Thursday, 27 August 2015
For this week's Thursday blog post I thought of sharing a poem I wrote back in 2011. Incidentally, a photograph I took and fiddled around with on gimp sort of lent itself to my poetic expression.
Here's the poem:

Gratitude List # 6
Friday, 21 August 2015
Okay, this isn't a list. But what can you expect from an artist, right? Anyway, I thought of mixing up the bullet lists and doing my practice of gratitude in a creative way. If you don't already know, I practice 3 Key Rituals in my life and creative journey, gratitude being one of them. You can read more about it here - LIFESTYLE OF AN ARTIST: THREE RITUALS FOR CREATIVE LIVING

Let me know what you think of the new format, or what you are grateful for this week?

Gratitude List # 5
Friday, 14 August 2015
I missed last week's Gratitude List because I was involved in renos and the move to our first home. Very exciting time, this is. So much to be grateful for.
I am grateful for
- Family who keep teaching me what love looks like - that it does something, either big or small
- Peace of heart and mind carrying us through this time of change
- Upcoming graduate studies at the U of W in Curatorial Practices
- Friends who helped us move and put our new house in order
- Acceptance to the Auxiliary Gallery at the Cre8ery Gallery and Studio
- Love that prevailed during times of hardship, and prepared us to "see" the big and small blessings that are always with us
- The strength of God
'Riveting' thoughts about the self-help industry
Thursday, 13 August 2015
Sometime ago I came across “8 Ways Self-Help is Killing You – And How to Use Them” by Kyle Eschenroeder, and I must say that I enjoyed it! At a time when my attention
span is unreliable at best, Kyle made me read the whole damn thing! Why? The man has content!
#WIP: Experiments in Folk Art
Sunday, 9 August 2015
My husband is of Ukrainian descent and I thought of incorporating some of his cultural heritage into this experiment with folk art. After checking out many Ukrainian dresses I thought of adopting it into my own own creative depiction.
But the thing about this piece is, that it took several attempts to get it right.

Musings on Hope, Waste, and Flexibility
Thursday, 6 August 2015
In a previous article - #W.I.P. : Re-Discovery, I wrote about my experience of how I was taught on the ability of the artist to preserve hope and re-discover beauty through the ashes. In this post, I follow up on the lesson by re-considering a piece of work I had previously thrown out in frustration.
Here's the initial idea.
